Biography:

Former international 400m Hurdler and National Champion. Studied sports coaching at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh with a thesis on Long Term Athlete Development. Was mentored by Charlie Afflek (Coach of Allan Wells, Gold 100m Olympic Games 1980), Frank Dick OBE, Coach to Daly Thompson (Decathlon Gold Olympics 1984).Dennis Hay (GB Bronze medal winning hockey coach 1992). Coached sprinters to Commonwealth Games final and World Indoor Championships, regional and state medalists and record holders.. Former National Athletics Coach, Seychelles and Director of Coaching NZ. Studied hurdles in France at CREPS de Poitiers, and Karlstad, Sweden. Movement coach to Rugby South Africa, Scotland Rugby, Hockey Scotland,, Kwazulu Natal Hockey, Tennis Scotland (Including Andy Murray). Published a book on Hockey :101 Youth Hockey Drills" with Olympic Coach Dennis Hay. Currently coaching at The Sprint Stable, Lake Macquarie where the athletes are creating personal bests on a regular basis. We have a particular philosophy characterized by the quote from Henk Kraajenhof "Only do as little as needed, not as much as possible".
