Athletes will need to be registered with NSWAL or the VAL, please see (http://www.nswal.org.au/ ) for details on how to register with the NSWAL .

The Jack Giddy carnival will be held in conjunction with the Sutherland Athletic Club who will hold two events. The first is a “dash for cash” with  men and women running in the same event with  men running 45m and women 40m with the winner being the fastest time recorded. The second, ”the Elzy Wellings classic”, is the same format with the distance being 1000m with men running the full distance and women 875m. Both events can be entered on the day at $10 with $1000 prize money for both. 

A 0.25m Stawell bonus lift will apply for both Gift races, pending all eligibility criteria being met - the Stawell bonus criteria can be found in the VAL Handicap Regulations.

All athletes are required to submit their personal bests and recent performance history via their VAL athlete profile as soon as possible - this will assist the relevant handicappers in allocating your handicap. 

Should a performance on the day be inconsistent with the performance history provided, Stewarding regulations will be applied.

All competing athletes will be considered for a performance 'tick', providing they compete to the Chief Stewards satisfaction and in line with the VAL Handicap Regulations.
