Dear VAL members, Clubs, and community,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate each and every one of you on a tremendously successful VAL season. It's truly inspiring to witness the growth in our membership, clubs, events, and prizemoney. The recent VAL/VRTA awards night provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate outstanding individual performances and express our gratitude to the dedicated long-term supporters of the VAL.
I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Taylah for her unwavering energy and commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of our beloved sport. Additionally, I want to express deep appreciation for our tireless volunteers. Their invaluable contributions make it possible for us to continue delivering our weekly events.
As we enter the offseason, we have a busy period ahead, dedicated to further enhancing our offerings and providing increased value and engagement for our members. We warmly welcome any assistance, so if you are available to lend a helping hand in any capacity, please don't hesitate to reach out.
The planning for the 2023-2024 season is already well underway. Alongside the continuation of what we have done well in the past, we have some exciting new initiatives in store and a commitment to ongoing improvements to benefit all. Your feedback remains invaluable in our pursuit to enhance our sport. I strongly urge each of you to take an active role in promoting the VAL by engaging new sponsors, coaches, and athletes.
Furthermore, I would like to remind you of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) during which the Board will set priorities for the next two years. We eagerly look forward to your participation and collaboration as we collectively shape the future of professional running.
As we approach the winter break, I wish you all a rejuvenating and enjoyable time off. I eagerly anticipate this coming season, where we will not only welcome back familiar faces but also embrace many new members who will undoubtedly enrich the diversity of our VAL community.
Should you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your input is highly valued and greatly appreciated.
