We'd like to share the recent statement put out by the Andrews Government this morning, citing changes to the restrictions for Victorian’s from Wednesday 13th May.

Mr Andrews states:
As we have worked to flatten the curve, we’ve been telling Victorians there’s only four reasons to be out: shopping for food and supplies, care and caregiving, exercise, and study or work – if you can’t do it from home. From 11:59 pm this Tuesday night, there’s now a fifth reason to leave home: visiting friends and family – with a maximum gathering of up to ten outdoors and having up to five visitors in your home.

In relation to physical activity, he notes:
More of the outdoor recreational activities that so many Victorians have been missing will also be allowed: walking groups, fishing, hiking – and yes, even a game of golf. These activities will be subject to physical distancing to help keep people safe.

More information is to be provided by the Victorian Government in the coming days, however, the Premier has been clear in setting out the above relating to outdoor recreational activities. All associated with the VAL are reminded to continue to comply with the restrictions imposed in Victoria.

We must continue to be patient. The great work many of you are doing at this point in time is helping to further decrease the spread of COVID-19. But this does not mean we can suddenly become complacent.

All Victorians are required to adhere to the social and physical distancing rules.

The VAL will continue its work towards building the 20-21 season, whilst remaining within the parameters set down by the Victorian Government.
