MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I am pleased to inform everyone that the prize money for the Stawell Gifts this year has been reinstated to $40000 for first place for both the Open and Womens 120m races. This is a fantastic outcome for the sprinters in the VAL community. I do believe that our sport is about more than the prize money and I know that many athletes will be aiming to get their names written into the history books come Easter.

Despite Easter being late this year, we only have a few races left including a replacement for Euroa, details are contained in this news update.

Heading into the off season, the VAL will be working on how to improve the sport for the coming years. All season we have been working on updating the strategic plan so if anyone has any feedback or ideas for the sport moving moving forward, please get in touch. All ideas will be considered. A draft strategic plan outline will be circulated before Easter for comment.

Happy racing
