VRTA committee

Posted in: Newsletters

The Victorian Runners & Trainers Association is looking for new committee members moving forward. There are vacancies on the committee due to some current committee members stepping down after serving substantial tenures.

The committee is currently operating on quite a skeleton staffing, and without others willing to step into a committee position, there is the fear that the VRTA may have to fold.

What does this mean for you?

As you know, the VRTA run their VRTA Gift meeting at Meadowglen each November, and also run your awards evening each year. If the VRTA committee folds, these events may also fold.

The committee positions are open to anyone; athletes, trainers, administrators, or anyone within our sport willing and able to step up and put something back into our sport. It will not take a great deal of time and commitment, however, without this commitment, we will lose a valuable avenue for our runners and trainers to have a voice, in conjunction with losing the 2 annual events previously mentioned.

We are holding our AGM on the evening of the15th August, and we will make a decision then as to whether the VRTA will remain, going forward.

Please feel free to contact if you wish to attend our AGM, and possibly join the committee.

Thank you.

VRTA Committee.
